Fortunately for him, they found him trapped in a Crevasse along with dead and rotting animals! Chamonix is indeed a stunning place which I would hope to visit one day.

One of the all time classic ski films with some of the legends of extreme skiing. Another film to look out for featuring Chamonix is the "Edge of Never" which has some of the US extreme skiing legends and Anselme Baud who has to be one of the all time extreme skiing greats and has skied some serious lines.

And there was me thinking I was on the edge with a 45/50 degree slope in the states , Chamonix is one awesome place.

Cant beat climbing for your turns, brings a new element into skiing.

Hi Everyone

Thanks for the tips and hints

I think a trip to VT and La Norma will be on the cards and I might be able to grab some off piste in the afternoon once I've finished teaching a five year old to ski. :D

Judging by the weather yesterday the hardest part could be getting to Dover to catch the ferry lol

Here's looking forward to a busy half term week's skiing

Just watched your video Atoo, have the same thing which i use in the Cobra that I built and the Dax Rush before that.

Also great for skiing as well

ATOO wrote:I use one of these http://www.dogcamsport.co.uk/dogcampro480.htm option 3 . It does the job ok but you need a cam corder with a av in and out port. I brought it years ago for my kitcar. The actual video looks better than it does on the video at the bottom of this post but i had to reduce the quality to upload it to YouTube. If you don't wear a helmet you could rig something up to attach to your goggle strap.

Val Thorens is pretty close to us, has anyone skied there?

Great Video Bandit

That is high up on my dream jobs list, i think it would even beat the "Top Gear" presenters job.

Are people on Snowblades really hated?

Nothing wrong with snowblades at all,

If you think the blades are good fun you should try skiboards. I skied for years love it and still do, but i've done a couple of season on skiboards in the states and they are a whole different story.

See below for the boards i'm currently using

These are Summit Custom 110's, which can handle pretty much anything on the mountain.

At the end of the day we are all on the mountain to have some fun and blast down the white stuff who cares what you use, just my opinion of course
