Those are the facts, plain and simple :D |

The Anniviers is unlikely to fit many of the criteria for the group. Chalets offering catered accom tend to be rare and upmarket, there is almost no ski in/out and the slopes predominantly suit adventurous skiers. |

Fair enough :D |

The resorts list seems to major on 1 country, France. Why?

billip1, bad news on the car engine, I suppose it's good that it happened on the way to the Chunnel and not halfway down France.
Laax is not a resort I've skied. Looking at the piste map it seems that the accom is at 1100m, and there seems to be no slopes below the main villages. I guess you can ski to the lift if you have accom at the top of the village? Looks like there are plenty of easy slopes, and sufficient snowmaking on the return runs. Several snowparks of different grades too. |

I feel certain there will be plenty of snow for skiing. Not sure this resort ticked many of your boxes, especially for Apres Ski shopping and Festivities at New Year.
Soldeu, small, mostly Hotels and Apts, El Tarter...smaller. Nice Hotels though, Andorra has been working hard to take it's accom upmarket over the past few years into the Spa market. For decent shopping you'd need to go down to Andorra la Vella town. It's not a terribly pretty place IMHO. |
