Here you go...

Click "View a map of the resort"; looks like you've got a choice of two just across the road - difficult to tell which is the absolute nearest... 8)

Get a grip, man! 8) It's not even mid-November yet so plenty of time yet.
I think we've just about covered this one folks, so let's just agree to differ (where we do) and move on.

Wearing helmets is a personal choice, as is accepting the risks inherent in our chosen sport.

Personally, I hope that helmet wearing never becomes compulsory as that removes the need for us to do our own risk assessments.

Someone who has thought it through and, on balance, decides to ski without a helmet is almost certainly more aware of the risks - and hopefully skis accordingly - than someone who succumbs to peer pressure or just follows fashion.

I skied happily for 17 years without a lid, before investing 3 years ago. They're stronger, lighter and more comfortable than ever and I ran out of reasons not to wear one.

So read the thread, think about your own skiing style, speed and the slopes you ski and make your choice. Whichever it is - stay safe! 8)
And you are not there, why? 8)
What would you listen to?

Enjoyed that... just a couple of big jumps then...
The forecast snows duly arrived this week; with individual falls exceeding 25cm and accumulations reaching 50cm or more in parts of The Alps and The Dolomites. Scandinavia also received heavy snows last weekend.

The open Austrian glacier resorts all received fresh snow, as did Tignes in France. The Swiss glaciers at Les Diablerets, Engadin and Zermatt are also open and reporting fresh snow.

Weather and Snow Next Week

Temperatures should stay around or below the seasonal average for the next week, with widespread light to moderate snowfalls expected on Saturday and Monday. Further occasional snow may occur later in the week but is unlikely to be heavy.

Beyond next week the trends look encouraging with continued low temperatures and a likelihood of regular precipitation.

As you were, carry on, jolly good...

That seems a strange ski to recommend to you TBH. I had a couple of days on Lords last season - came into their own in powder but I found them to be really quite lifeless and tedious on piste.

The X-Wing Tornado Ti is a different beast - bloody brilliant just about everywhere. You might find they stretch you a bit to start with but I doubt you'd be disappointed.

Go test some... :D ...but you know that...
