I think this may be another case of Murphy's law !!
This may not be perfect for everyone as most of the site is in Spanish (with English sections) but have you tried www.rumba.es ??

It has a skiing holiday section, which has hotels at normal prices, but all the hotels on this site include ski passes for the duration of your stay. This makes it very cheap !!

That man has balls of steel !!

Total respect.....
12-2 Night watch ??

You make them sound like convicts !! They are just children ;-) Aren't they ??

I hear Prozac can be very calming, for the nerves !! :-)
You are living life on a knife edge !! Sooooo close to a ski trip !!

I can smell the TSP after your high wire act :-)

But still, have fun !!

Does anybody else think like me ??

The week before I head out for a ski trip, I start to take things a little easier, The last thing I want is an injury, before I have even hit the slopes :-(

So things I do NOT do before a trip away.

1. I do NOT go to the gym, in case I put my back out.
2. I do NOT go for that game of squash, the one that the boss has ask me to go for and if I go I know promotion is on the way, but just in cash I twist my ankle “ I say no!!”
3. I do NOT lift all them heavy cylinders( I am a scuba Instructor) in case I pull a muscle in my shoulder..
4. I do NOT run for the bus, in case I trip and smash my head open on the very bad Spanish pavements.
5. I do NOT drink so much at night, in case I fall down the stairs, AGAIN !!
6. I do NOT lose my passport, as it would be impossible to get a new one here in Spain and if I could, it would surly mean rushing around trying to find all the forms, photo's and the embassy. Think of the possible injuries that may cause !!

So bearing in mind the above, how come this morning just 5 hours away from going on the big bird to skiing land, I reach for my cup of coffee on the table and pull a muscle in my neck !!

HOW !! how does this happen ??

So my question is what do you NOT do before you go on a skiing trip ??

Hi AllyG,

I have skied all over, but really like Norway !! I have been to Evitfvel (Norway) a few times, it is great skiing and always has lots of snow :-) Norway can be a little costly though !!

It sounds like you have done quit a bit of skiing ??

Dry ski slopes are the work of the DEVIL !! I learnt to ski on them, then when i went on real snow, i thought how much easier it was :-)

Have you ever tried sand surfing ?? that is really hard on the legs !! all the walking back up the sand dunes !!

I know i am a bit late, but i am a newbie too :-)

I am 37 years old and have been skiing since i was 14, but still need to learn a lot ;-) I am also a diving instructor living in the Canary Islands (hence the ski&dive). This makes skiing holidays perfect, because Feb to April is our quietest time, so skiing fits in perfect as a break away and a chance to take up my second biggest passion(skiing)!!

I am new to the ski forum stuff, but have been in scuba diving forums and they are not a nice place !! So I am hoping for a friendly forum banter :-)

I have been to Norway already this year and I am counting down the "2 sleeps" till i am in Andorra :-)

It would be nice to get to know you all :-)

P.S just to clarify Ski&dive= Male :-)
