Personally I did not like it. I found it a bit spread out and no where near as good as sauze or sestriere. If I went to the area again I wouldn't spend a day there, I thought it was a wasted day. But that's just me, others prob love the place
If you can't carry skis, you shouldn't be skiing! ;)

Please don't use the hand bag type
Fair enough. Beginners will find the trip to monty difficult, and long.
Why don't you ski back? We did it there and back in a day this year. Easy enough
Me, me me me I will be going to Manchester as I won some free tickets from some very very very kind people ;)

What makes it better? Is my birthday weekend!!! :D

I will be booking my skiing holiday late this season. Thinking about goin in February. Whilst I like France, PDS, 3V etc, the last couple of years we have been to Sauze D'Oulx and decided we really like Italy.

Having done a bit of research on resorts, Cervinia seems to be coming out as a possibility. Any of you guys ever been there? Is there anywhere else I should be considering in Italy?

Hmmm...... I 'Won tickets' last year for the Manchester show and they never turned up

Here goes:

My favourite ski resort, that's a difficult one. I think i would opt for somewhere in the PDS - probably Morzine for a number of reasons:

1. Lots of good scenery - whilst we dont go skiing to look at views it certainly helps
2. When there is good snow it is a wide and varied resort catering for all abilities
3. The town - it is not purpose built. Good variety of night-life and quality eateries
4. Just 1 hr drive from Geneva
5. My brother has a chalet there so I have cheap accommodation :)

Manchester tickets please :D
