Has any-one heard of Sims gloves. I bought a pair from good old TK, they are mitts, really really thick and several layers of padding. They would be to thick for me to ski in, but for some of the extra stuff I do in very cold climates I think they should do the trick. Have a good lift pass pocket on them as well, I wont use it as such as I invariably lose a glove and its bound to be that one I lose.

We had to give up a ski hol last year we both had job interviews. We could'nt change the holiday as I still would have needed the time off work for the interview and could not have got another weeks holiday off work. So my Son and his girlfriend benefited from a free holiday.
I got the job but decided against it which is just as well as I would'nt have got the job I have just started. Hubby got his job but then 3 months later the window business picked up so he packed it in. Taking into account it was still the wisest thing for us to do. |

Its a brand we first bought for our first ever trip. Certainly did the job it was supposed to do. When we decided we liked it and would continue we bought better gear. Having said that I bought a pair of Dare2B sallos last weekend. I wanted a resonably priced sallo, a couple of sizes bigger than I normally have to ski as certain activities I shall be doing I will need some trackies under, as it gets so cold. I shall look like michelin man.

Have started my get fit to ski. Started a new job this week and instead of travelling to work can now walk. It is a mile and a half so not far but up and down two of the biggest hills in the area.
My calves really ache to-night so must be doing me good. |

I might have a gluwein some-time after ski-ing, I dont drink wine so a couple of shandys and a tot of some-thing before bed, thats my lot and I can take it or leave it, only drink to be social, not that fussed on alcohol to be honest.
