I would be interested in this two as I was planning on 3 days in Morzine the weekend before you go, I am a boarder too! That being said I need advice on how to finish work at 5.30pm in Hannover and get to Morzine overnight so I can ski on the Friday morning - hopefully avaoiding the 4 hour wait at Bern at 1am - 5am. Was planning on a week there with all my old school buddies, but work has scuppered that plan :( |

Ha, I was in the airport :D Was re-routed there as Heathrow cancelled all the Frankfurt flights. I love Copenhagen though, wouldn't mind a visit there again sometime soon. I'll give you a shout if I do! |

Haha, thats Pablo told ) However Wickers the expense of Switzerland in general is hyped. Coming from either the EURO-zone or thr UK means that the cost is reasonable these days, and certainly a lot cheaper than many French resorts IMO. Zermatt is however I think the most expensive lift pass in Europe, which doesn't help. I have been to Saas Fee, Zermatt, Engleberg, Wengen and Grindelwald this year and with the exception of Zermatt I have found them all cheaper than St. Anton (Aus!!), La PLagne, Val d'isere or Tignes for instance. Engleberg is particulary good value for money. |

Not yet but I intend to some day, it's high on my list. You off there? |

...or possibly blue or red :P St. Anton is the most bizzarely graded place I have snowboarded. |

It's a fantatsic run, there is no doubt, maybe my favorite pisted run so far. The fact that it is nearly 5km long and Graded at Black makes it a little more daunting than it infact is. Don't get me wrong as it is bloody steep in places, but the real steeps are the fairly short sections at the Hundschopf and the entrance to the grandstand (Zielschuss on the diagram linked below). http://www.lauberhorn.ch/images/content/strecke/2007_laengenprofil_abf.jpg I would also add there are a few areas that are technically challenging bits like Canadian Corner which has vicious camber on it and the very narrow and kinked turn into the Hundschopf are "tricky" as is the final steep simply because by the time you get ther you are so tired.
The rest of it is simply an exceptional Red in my opinion. Seriously good fun, I was mightily impressed :D So impressed I am heading down there on Friday to watch the race as my parents kindly got me 2 nights accomodation for Christmas 8) |

Man this weather has been chaos, fortunately it was not skiing related in my case but it took me 16 hours to get home From Glasgow on Sunday!! Had a lovely few hours in Copenhagen paying nearly 9 EUR for a pint of Carlsberg  However they say eerything happens for a reason and all I can say is I am very pleased it did happen :D
Thoughts going out to those who have had valuable ski days robbed by the total breakdown of lowland Eurpoe in the face of a few inches of snow. Makes me realise how lucky I am to live where I do and being able to use trains rather than planes to go riding. |
