The mountain restaurant food thread

I have never found anything to beat Crepes a GoGo in L2A. Fab French restaurant in the village with freshly made thin crepes with a variety of fillings savoury or sweet OR a large dish of mountain ham OR a fondue OR a hot stone OR a raclette OR all of the above....... phew I feel quite exhausted after all that food.

Not very useful of you are at 2,000m and the wind is blowing, he won't be so keen to let you take a look at his map then!!

I'm from Norfolk and don't drive a Toyota of any description or go to Tescos

Do you drive a traaactor?

My whole family (husband and children) were born in Norfolk, all except me  I've only been here 25 years so i'm not even local yet
I don't really know but I expect like everything else, if there is a demand, the price will go up.

I have booked now just to be safe and it cost £126 return.

Well waddayaknow.... tickets now available to book for our dates.

Prices are either £55 or £71 each way depending on the time you travel. Flexiplus tickets are more expensive but I have never found a need to book one of those, as we have always managed to get on whatever train was there when we arrived. I know you cannot guarantee this, so we try to get there a bit early and sneak on an earlier train, with the fall back position of our booked one if this fails.
I will keep an eye on the website and let you know when the tickets for Eurotunnel come on line.

And I thought the General Wibble Thread was a bit "out there"!!

How has this got anything to do with meeting new people in chalets?

Unless they are all northerners and we need to know how to communicate, I spose?
