I think your reasons for buying her her own boots are sound.
Why don't you give them a ring and ask very nicely if they can take a pair in the size you want out of the box and measure them to see if they are true to size? It doesn't guarantee you won't have to return them for a bigger/smaller size but it gives you more of a fightng chance of getting it right first time! Good luck |

Ally I must admit that's the bill I most resent paying, as it seems so expensive on top of everything else.
However, when you see the piste bashers out all night making lovely smooth runs for us to use the next day, you understand why it's so expensive. They must cost a fortune. New chair lifts don't come cheap either and of course they are only in use for a few months of the year. So they have loads of expensive equipment which sits idle most of the time. I guess I can put up with it, so long as it snows and I can use the stupid ski pass that is! |

Well Ally at least we know that you and I are definitely going on this holiday having booked our travel already. I hope many others will join us for what, I am sure, will be a very enjoyable holiday.
I like to book things and pay for them early because it helps spread out the cost. Skiing, being quite an expensive hobby, is all the more enjoyable if I do not have to worry about a big bill all in one go. I often book little weekend "adventures" well in advance and pay for them ahead because they are such a treat when they come around and they feel like they have cost less. It's an illusion I know but gives us something to look forward to all the time. We have a concert at O2 booked for December complete with hotels etc., all paid for already, so it will seem like a real treat when we go and I will (hopefully) have forgotten how much I paid for the tickets!! |
