thanks for the suggestions just hope the snow holds out and we get another big dump next week so we can ski in les gets and morzine. The nursery slopes and grand cry will definately be on the itinery with my daughter subject to snow coverage I am so looking fwd to skiing with her this year all being well. Last yr she had lessons in a ski school on the top of the mountain in scheffau and didnt really do much skiing so to speak but the dry ski lessons are really bringing her on and Im desperate to go on the mountain with her - but having said that Ive only ski'd once myself before although I can take on a blue happily nowadays hence why I picked les gets with a few green runs should be able to take her out and enjoy the snow with her as well as tackle the runs myself - my aim is to get onto the red runs this holiday maybe to ambitious I dunno but hey they are there to be taken on I suppose! I remember that the runs werent half as bad in the afternoon after a spot of lunch and a gluwein! so heres hoping van chaud is just as good!! - I 'll leave the beer till after the skiing I think if its that good! Thanks for all the suggestions keep the snow dancing going everyone!

Im coming to les gets on 4th feb and hoping the snow and cold temps still in situ by then - was wondering does the local les gets pass just cover morzine and les gets and in your opinion is it worth upgrading to the full ports du soleil pass and what areas does that cover - also saw Samoens had a reasonable amount of snow and is 10km away is that covered by the PdS pass? and how easy is it to get there even for a days worth of skiing?
I think anything is worth a try - looked at the village webcam and its snowy in the village which is good although getting worried again looking at forecast for next week getting flippin warmer. - as for the snow dance I reckon anyhting goes just keep doing it! - went for a dry ski lesson yesterday was dreading it not having worn skis for a year but was surprised I found it really easy and was parallel turning with the best of them off the top slope - rather pleased as Ive only been on one skiing holiday before this one Just want the snow to continue or at the very least mega cold temps so hopefully the cannons can get to work and the piste groomers can do their thing - we only bought a local pass and I will probably upgrade on the friday before we go just in case.
