Hi AllyG, a "crash mat" is plastic covered mat filled with foam, to be used when "bouldering" or climbing complex routes not very high above the ground, if you fall or slip your mates makes sure you fall onto the crash mat which they should be holding. :shock:

Back out to St.G this Friday we are driving down. Son and mate are coming and hope to go climbing,he wants to know if we can tie a crash mat to the top of the car, O/H is not impressed :( Will be getting skis waxed, taxed and ready to ride as we didn't have time for a service, due to swift departure last visit )

Thanks Ally will do, the problem was that Avis and Budget were both involved in the dispute but the cheque has come from a company called Zodiac Rent A Car :?:

Well its taken nearly three months but we have got back a cheque for £183 from the car hire company thanks to the persistance of O/H :)

We are having no joy from Avis :( so we are taking it up with our credit card company.
