Being a gentleman I always take the hit for my OH. ) Part of the holiday really, there are plenty of two seat fast lifts and drags in St Gervais, be warned. But there are always at least one lifty on duty some nice, some grumpy it is France :D As for cost, some resorts are already deep in debt and cannot afford the braked lifts. Although we had a nice 6 way chair last year at the Crois du Christ hope thats spelt right. Which when its quite, is fun to ride by yourself.

Re Saturday nights, Played 36 holes of golf Saturday day time, went out to Holmfirth folk festival Saturday night with OH, very busy, very drunk.

Chris, It was my wife that got me into skiing, but it often seems that its a macho sport, men need to go steeper, faster. Try to keep your other half interested otherwise you will end up skiing on your own a lot and feeling a little bit held back every time you ski with her, which does not make for a good holiday.

The Sunday Times has printed the last "Ski Scene" of the season now it really sinks in, but as the Times said, "have a good summer"

Carole King yes please, Horse meat no thanks, plus I am working all weekend on nights for normal pay. Otherwise we would be off St Gervais.

I save mine as they have nice retro pictures on and when I finaly have to pack in skiing, I will put them in a frame and remember the good times. (or sell them on ebay)
