Snapzzz,
As long as you are pleased with it, that's all that matters. Sorry, I wasn't trying to have a go at you for spending that much on a jacket. I have spend masses of money on things that are important to me - like my teeth  |
|
I never do  Apart from ski holidays of course :D |

Tony,
You have to pay the currency surcharge of £6 per person per night if the pound stays below 1.15 euros to the pound, and £3 pppn if it is between 1.15 and 1.35 euros to the pound. I can't see the pound getting above 1.35 euros to the pound. And it costs even more than £125 per person basic price if you go later again (can't remember right now and can't be bothered to check). I am just giving people the benefit of my calculations and costings, so that they can get an idea of what it will actually cost them, without having to read through all the small print, go on the Easyjet website, and work it all out for themselves. As I said, it is still pretty cheap, but the cost for me is actually 2.5 X the headline price  Ally |

Pablo,
It's okay for you millionaire students  But for me £70 is 10 hours cleaning wages (that I have to pay other people) or one acre's rent for a year. But my new fleece is really lovely :D Ally |

There are still the glacial resorts like Saas-Fee :D

I bought a lovely Helly Hansen fleece - 70% off - at McArthur Glen Bridgend a few weeks ago :D
Mind you, the original price was outrageous, something like £70, but at £20 it was quite reasonable. I would have liked to have looked for a new ski jacket as well - but my daughter dragged me away, because she was shopping for a ball dress  Ally |

I don't know ... I thought all skis were pretty :D Eggman, I'm glad you got some skis you like, and at a bargain price as well :D Ally |

The only benefit I can think of is that you wouldn't have to pay car fees on the ferry/tunnel, only pedestrian ones, because the cars are on the other side of the channel. Plus, of course it would be handy if you can drive but don't have access to your own car.
But the big drawback is that you have to take the car to one of their drop-off points in Paris etc. - and none of these are in ski resorts  I often wonder what everyone on here does, when they're at work. A few people say, but most don't. Ally |
