Pre-booked Crystal Lift Passes
Started by User in Ski Chatter, 7 Replies
Hi all,

Just a quick question to do with lift passes . . .

I'm off to La Plagne on Saturday and have pre-booked my lift pass with Crystal. Anyway, its been a while since I've been and I was just wondering if anyone knows when you get to collect them (aiming to be on the first lift of the day - we're pretty keen!) and where/ who from? Also, do we need photos (or is that just a thing of the past now) and proof that we've pre-booked them?

Sorry if this has been answered elsewhere - I did look for other posts regarding this sort of thing and couldn't find much. I've also looked on the Crstal site but couldn't find anything there either . . . other than:

How do I get a lift pass?
Save time by booking your lift pass before you go for hassle-free access to the lifts and slopes. Either go for a local lift pass or if you want to explore further try an area lift pass.

"To book your lift pass online access your My Crystal account and follow the on-screen instructions. This will provide prices and all available options in your chosen resort.

Alternatively call us on 0871 231 3297 before 30 days prior to your departure and we'll add on the lift passes for you."

I wanted more specific info than that because I noticed on another post (a while back) that some people had had problems getting their passes in time for any skiing on the first day!

Anyway cheers and I hope everyone has/ had a nice ski season

Thanks for the advice everyone. I'll let you know how I get on - got plenty of time to narrow down my 10 page list of what to take - only joking! Seriously though . . . I don't go till the end of March . . . thats 10 weeks or so: FAR TO LONG TO WAIT!
What Luggage to Take???

Hi everyone,

My boyfriend and I (along with my family) have just booked a week in La Plagne at the end of March. My family have all skied for years but I haven't been for 6 (apart from a few of days at Yad Moss, Harwood and Raise tows this winter - have been loving the cold weather we've been having!)

Anyway I know this probably seems like a ridiculous question to ask but I'm not sure what luggage to take (to put my gear in - obviously my skis will be separate!) Normally I'd take a big 70 litre rucksack but after a couple of trips to the states I can't risk any more rips and tears to it - I've only used it twice and its been pretty badly damaged :(

I won't really be taking much - will probably take a small suitcase as my carry on with most of my clothes in so just need my main bag to fit my ski boots, salopette, toiletries etc in.

I was wondering about a suitcase or maybe a cheap holdall . . .

Anyway please let me know what you think.

Thanks,

beer and food prices

Hi

My boyfriend and I are planning on a week in Belle Plagne (La Plagne) at the end of March. I've been a couple of times before about 6 years ago with my family but have now flown the nest, so to speak, so am having to meet the cost myself.

Anyway, as we're on a bit of a budget I was just wondering if anyone knows, roughly, how much food and drinks out there cost. Please note that I have read all the posts and they seem to mainly refer to eating and dinking out.

We'd like to know how much things cost from the local Spar etc as we plan on cooking and drinking in - not as fun I know but we've spent the last two summers travelling in the states (so are pretty skint at the moment but are also used to making our money stretch!)

Any info/ advice would really be appreciated,

Thanks,
