What a brilliantly entertaining read!
I love Ise's idea about a really thick woolly hat. With a bobble on it. Note to self - get one and Tony_H can stop his "dog with no ears" rubbish ) |

I don't think it's Milton Keynes.

Mayrhofen mid December for 9 days.
A week in St. Anton from 6th Jan with Tony_H, his missus, "kids," Ellestine et al. And a week in March, venue to be decided, when I hope to persuade my other half to get off her sorry backside, put all that new kit on and actually do some skiing with me! |

So, what are the "rules" and guidlines regarding helmet-fit?

I have never worn one.
However, after a big smash with an out of control skier a couple of years back ( the day after Tony-H inadvertantly hospitalised a woman) and a couple of near misses, I think it may be time to invest, particularly as I like to ski fast and the slopes do seem to be getting more crowded (or is that just my impression?) with people seemingly unable to control themselves or their speed It will also help silence a nagging partner. I've never really hurt myself though, so knowing my luck I'll wear a helmet for the first time and break my ******* arm! |

And it looks fabulous. I take it you were therevery early morning? In all the years I have been visiting Mayrhofen I have never ventured to Hintertux. That photo has persuaded me to make the effort one day this coming December, provided I pick a good weather day. Will skip beakfast and have a couple of hours blasting around before I eat, to make the most of it!! |
