I heard that it was a budget option.
Money really doesn't come into the equation for us. We would rather spend more and have a better time than slum it with the paupers anyway.

With that attitude, you're more than welcome to stick to your concrete purpose built resorts, aggressive lift queues, and over priced food and drink in France 8)

Maybe you're getting Austria mixed up with Bulgaria....?

Purpose built - Villages erected where the best snow and slopes are? Where they are most convenient for access? Cant say i object to that, its a huge driving force in my decision making.

Mainly in Austria your ski day will involve a bus and i cant be arsed with all that faff. Of course there are a few resorts that offer ski in ski out but in the main they dont - similarly SC is less abundant.

Food? Ask Wickers, he said it was rubbish once didn't he? I think they do some kind of egg on every meal.

Oh, and for the record 'Austrian Twins' for you and your buddy is really going to disappoint you.

And a dose of mountain air will be exactly what she needs.

Then because she has been sick for more than 3 days you will need a doctors note -)

Our docs wont issue a note in the first 7 days so they can whistle for that one......plus i am sure the docs will have something to say about that as they have enough to do.

They will crank the prices even higher to cope with increased demand.

I have no guilt taking my child out of school, she has no sickness and apart from exam time I will continue to do what I have have done over the past eight years.

Couldn't have put it better myself.
I always take my daughter out of school to take advantage of the cheaper fares. In doing such we can afford to take multiple holidays (only one in school time) a year which gives us valuable, uninterrupted family time. And a quality family life is just as important as quality education.

Oh and don't forget the pending strikes.....thats a day in the bank!!!
