Ah, you found my summer to-do list...

I'm impressed (or is it jealous?) of everyone already with firm plans for next season! Far too many sleeps...
I've just cleaned this thread up, again.

As a special service to motivate the hard-of-understanding; any further attempts to trash this thread will get you banned until next season. Seriously.

Heavy snow overnight and tomorrow; East and Northern/Central Alps in the firing line with snow down to around 1,300m, maybe lower.

...and a load more to come this week... we sent out 5,000 Powder Alarms this morning!

...and the longer range forecasts keep it going...

Check the wigglies for Geneva...

End of season

GPWM, but probably works best if you can already ski like Graham Bell! 8) One of the chest-mounts will give a very similar perspective but leave your hands free for the poles...

Look forward to a report when you get back; have yet to ski Scandinavia and have long thought about a trip to Norway.

Have a good one...
what to wear spring skiing

No, don't do that... 8)

Take everything, seriously. Val Thorens is high and will still get cold most nights / early morning.

The forecast is also showing a cold snap this coming weekend which will drop temperatures by 10C from where they are now (to below their seasonal averages). That should last a couple of days before Spring returns.

You'll be best layering up in the mornings and removing layers as the sun comes out - so a lightweight rucksack is going to be useful / essential.

Be prepared and you'll be fine - snow should be fantastic with fresh on a good base... good timing!
