Flat light is a real problem for me. I tend to get very disorientated in such conditions. I wondered was my own eyesight a factor? Might look at investing in a pair of cat 1 lens goggles and seeing if they make a difference.

Wont be there but hope you will post a reasonably detailed review upon return:roll:.
It looks a like a very interesting area now that they have established the link. A definite possibility for a future trip (though perhaps not until the exchange rate moves back in favour of the Euro - if it ever does  ). |

Will you have a car? If so, you could save quite a bit by heading over to Pettneu and using Mietski. They offer much cheaper ski hire than anyone else I have seen, though it does get more expensive the closer it is to your trip (similar to Ryanair pricing). You also get exactly the skis you ordered - not just whatever is available on the day .
It would be quite a drive from Lech so probably not worth it unless you could hit it on the way in and out . |

What a lovely story? Thanks Dave for helping to make this happen.
It is fantastic to see a family who are so determined the give their little boy every opportunity to enjoy life to the maximum allowed by his condition and even to push the envelope. I'm sure they do not see themselves as heros but they are :!:. Well done and good luck to little Billy. |

Anybody know how much of these videos is real unadulterated footage and how much of it is photoshopped (or equivalent)?
I'm not talking about the footage being sped up or the obvious splicing together of multiple shots, etc. That is just normal editing. More questioning the reality of his skiing over fields, roads, etc. If it is all genuine, then it is truly amazing - pretty amazing anyway and fun to watch  . |

.... plus the conditions on the day and even the time of day:wink:. As we all know, any individual run can vary enormously depending on conditions. Usually, this is not terribly important but when dealing with extremely difficult runs, it is critical to know exactly what to expect. A run that might be perfectly manageable in good conditions, can turn into a nightmare in other conditions :x. If you are unsure, you need to get advice from somebody who knows the conditions of the run and knows your capabilities. Would you consider doing it as part of a private lesson? That way, you would have an instructor with you which would give you the confidence to take it on  |

Try emailing or phoning the hotel. They should know what's the best thing to do.
