Never really find the time, up early morning to be one of the first on the lift, off the slopes about 5, off the the bar, back to the room to get ready for the night then have some fun. Thats usually how ever day is to be honest.

Depends what you up to if you gonna do a a bit of hiking to get some nice lines you might want to pack ski skins to stop you falling back and some snowshoe bindings, also another good thing to take with you if you have good ones are some sort of comm's e.g walkie talkie

Firstly you want to go to a good, recommended boot fitter, if you go to a good boot fitter your in good hands they wont just try and persuade you to buy the most expensive boots because the ones you just tried on are not comfortable ! Hopefully if the people in the shop are good enough tell them how experienced (and dont lie  ) you are and the problem you have with your knee and they should be able to help a lot and remember its not how they look its how comfortable they are !
