Guys,
Ok, so i haven't been skiing long and have yet to visit many resorts so i haven't picked up all the names properly yet. Any chance you guys can tell me how i am supposed to pronounce some of the most popular resort names correctly? I am sure it will save me (and maybe others) looking a little silly sometime. If you could just add names to the thread with a short description it would be great. EG: 1. Tignes - My assumption is that this is pronounced 'Teens' as in teenagers..... IS THIS CORRECT? 2. How about La Plagne ? Is this 'La Plan' ---- like plan/map? Thanks all jon |

They look pretty interesting.
A good resource for learning for sure but not heaps of fun or a real substitute for the pistes. |

Given my experience is yet to develop i would value your help on choosing a european resort for next Easter.
Because easter is late (25th April) which resorts are likely to be the best to go for? Obviously i would rather not spend my days on slush so value your guidance here. Judging by this year....maybe i should pencil in Scotland! |

Thanks Bandit, i will look forward to the beer. However i have had my fair share of pies recently!
I am hoping he can work his magic on my ankles as i am spending a small fortune on compeed plasters right now. |

Thanks guys for the comments but i'm firmly back on track. I was tempted by the cheap prices but a good fit is what i need.
My ankles are wide and one was smashed up and reassembled in my youth. So right now, whilst my shoes are a size 10 i am having to hire boots at a size 12 just to get the ankle feeling good. Obviously this is not right. My mind is rock solid now. |

Yeah your right, i know that....i knew it when i posted this, i don't know why i did.
It was my evil, frugal conscience getting the better of me I need boots that fit, my feet are crap and need more attention. Thanks for setting me straight.....i'll get my coat. |
