Hi Michelle
I am in the same boat as you...I even work in the same area...Exeter. Although only a TA I've used some TOIL to negotiate getting away on Thurs 13th Feb from LHR to Geneva via Swiss Air...cost return with skis, out on 13th and return 20th is £167, transfer to Aosta Valley 48 euros each way to stay at La Thuile. Including staying at a 4 star hotel price pp works out over £1000 cheaper for 2 than a TO from weekend to weekend..Still have room in car for 2 more!! :D |

I agree about Austria, it is good value. Also think about Italy as it is also cheaper than France and the food is awesome. If you feel adventurous self book via Trip advisor etc. Fly cheap airlines to Turin, Train to Oulx in the the Milky Way (about 10 euros each way) and get some seriously cheap accom in Sauze D'oulx.DO get lessons at the Dome though as you will benefit from day one. Enjoy!!! :D :D

If you are only going to Megeve why hire a car. Far better to get one of the reasonably priced transfer companies that operate from Geneva Airport to take you. Most do door to door for about 30 Euros each way.
