Also the times are getting later and later so much so that I will have to book an extra day off work. But one problem for us will be......have to vacate cabin at 10am flight not until 10pm.

Yes. Jet2.com have a number of OLD boeing 737's that they charter out. These are the ones that carry Royal Mail post and convert into passenger planes by means of inserting panels inside with seats screwed into them. I flew with them to Turin in March, it was ok but the plane was as old as any still flying and the interior left plenty to be desired. Uncomfortable seats with hardly any padding, which were falling apart. There is a trolley service.

Jet2.com also have some other new passenger only planes, but I understand the ones they charter out are the older ones as they are cheaper because of the state they are in!!!

You'll be fine, but its about as crap a plane as you could possibly get!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought the next sentence was going to be " then peddle "

Tony_H wrote:Nice one Caron. Arabba will be special. If my memory serves me right, you have been to Obergurgl before, so you might be able to see more of the place now that you have progressed since those days.

Now then, if anyone is looking for a really good deal to Alpe d'Huez on 9th Jan next year in a catered chalet, let me know before 17th July as the last 4 places in our chalet are up for grabs at £365pp including flights and transfers, and they are doing 2-4-1 lift passes until 17/7.

Drop me a PM if you are interested.

Caron have you looked on my facebook at the pictures of Arabba?

I defo would of done that but taking kids away, maybe next time Tony!!

La Tania first week in Jan with kids and better half.

Selva in March with 9 friends.

Depending how much better half spends on the wedding in May we may, just may get another trip away but it would have to be cheap and very last minute!

Cant wait hay fever is the pits this year!

Kids keep growing so will not use the ski gear to much if we bought it tbh & we just could not afford it for all 3 of them.

As for going some where cheaper we have looked. La Tania offered cheap accomadation which most reviews showed as very good. Accomadation right next to the lift. We got an 7 people apartment for the 5 of us and the cost was no more than the 5 birth (got 3 teenagers, nightmare). Loads of snow machines just incase the snow isnt to good. Only 2 days off school and its an important time for all of them with exams.

E mailed a company in La Tania for prices of the following

1 st child 14 yrs- skis and boots
2 nd child 14 yrs- skis and boots
3 rd child 15 yrs- skis and boots the 3 kids will be adult prices

2 adults - ski

was quoted 493 Euros  thats with 35% off so rang Neilson and they can do that for £342 :P and get this I get the skis from the same shop!!!
Looking at the small print they charge 10 Euros for the ski poles for the week . 20 Euros for helmets, in Italy you got the helmets free if you rented all your ski gear from the ski shop.
