Where do you buy your ski jackets and sallopettes? Went into Preston today and TK Maxx but nothing, went onto Bolton to R Alpine and they had new stock in and just putting it on the shelf but nothing stood out to me. Was going to go to Manchester but just couldnt be arsed.

Need new ones as Ive ripped mine on the dry slope trying to master Moguls!

I was told to take boots through as hand luggage, dont know who by mind.. unless i just made that up

Is that what most people do with ski boots, put them in the suitcase?
Going to Preston TK tomorrow so hopefully I will find something I like.
Is it true?

40 is the new 25

Getting back into skiing at age 41, I wonder how well I'll keep up. I don't feel old, I am fairly fit and can usually keep up with friends in there 20's when we go mountain hiking/climbing. I have been telling myself 40 is the new 30 (25 sounds even better).

I go to the gym and am hopefully running in the Great North Run, ski most Fridays at Kendal and my partners 42 and she does the same as me. For me its not about "keeping up" its doing something to the best of your ability and coming away thinking to yaself "I did well at that"

My partner and myself have 3 kids aged 12,13 and 14. At skiing they have no fear what so ever and they always want to beat me at everything and it will not be long before they do beat me , its the way it goes.
