24/7? Crumbs, that's keen. Did they put the floodlights on for you?

Queues at the Giggijoch lift pass office were horrendous when I went to Solden; less so at the Gaislachkoglbahn. A little bit of time saved in the queue is never a bad thing but I do enjoy the gamble of waiting to see if the rate improves or not (also very pleased to see the steady progress that sterling as made against the CHF since the sharp drop in January!)

There's a moderate sized supermarket on the left just as you reach Alpbach village. Restuarants are dirt cheap, though, by most European ski resort standards!
Ah Hinterglemm; midnight in the Goatstall bar! My head aches at the very thought of it!

I'm going to Engelberg on April 20; last season went to Saas Fee at a similar time of the year. Some great deals on accommodation to be had and the restauranteurs etc are very glad to see you!

Looking forward to going, just got back from St. Anton and I realise this place won't be the same but nowhere is. I want to make the most of the place and it is half the price of St. Anton :-)!

I have been searching recently for cheap ski deals, and all that came up affordable was Niederau!!!!
There must be a reason why its always top of the list for cheapest bargain holidays.

That theory certainly holds true for Les Deux Alpes!

Weather forecasting: mumbo jumbo, witchcraft, old wives tales, guesswork and a little bit of bad science practised by people who liked science but were no good at it, otherwise they'd have been doctors, physicists, chemists etc! :D
