Don't worry, you wouldn't be far from the truth with me.
Am i the only one who comes back from a ski holiday weighing more than before i went?

Seriously, I don't have problems standing up as long as there is some sort of slope, and usually, the steeper the better. It is when on the flat I seem to have issues  Just get the edge of the skis into the hill and they should stay fairly stable.

Snap.

If it is flat i have my skis parallel, dig the edges in and then use my pole to push myself up. There are probably camels that can stand more gracefully but it works for me.
Can i asked who you booked with?
I am looking at the pds for a few days, struggling to find a decent company and a decent price.

thanks

Snapzz, cracking video, I think you've done brilliantly well with the filming, editing and skiing for a 3rd weeker! Reminds me how good ADH is, recognised a lot of places in that.

I've been looking at a Go-Pro as they really are excellent, but wasn't sure where to fix it to as they're not great on bobbles and I am NOT wearing a lid. Your pole-cam seems to work well though, so its given me something to think about.

They are definitely worth buying, you will get more use out of it than you think. I will be taking on my summer hols for use in the pool and prob be filming some wake boarding later in the year too.
Now is the time to buy as the new HD Hero2 is out and the one i have can be found at a great price now. The difference in quality between the 2 is not massive so in my opinion not really worth the extra cost.

There are tons of mounts available so you don't need a lid, you can get a chest mount and if you really want to there is a strap that fits on your head without the need for a helmet.
The pole mount stayed on my ski pole all week and i just dropped the cam on every now and again.

BTW, love the green jacket. Salomon have one out this year in the same colour which i am going to get once the prices fall. They want £300 for it at the mo but i expect them to be had for half that come march.

surfarthur wrote:Nice Video Snapzzz. Do you mind if I ask what settings you were using for your filming? I will be taking my gopro to the snow for the first time in 2 weeks, I have used it in the surf, but I am interested in whether I should use different settings for the snow.

Without checking, i believe it was set to 720p at 60fps.
I used the setting that gives the widest field of view as you can only get a ski pole so far away from you.
Also the high frame rate lets you create slow motion effects in edit.

I thought the music was to cover the screams?
