I thinks its brilliant,Caron-A. I dont think a 12 year old could do that well. Its well worth nurturing a child that has talent in any-thing
How easy is it...

Thinking of buying a cheap ex-hire board this season and an artist friend of mine wants to customise it with one of his designs and/or website plug.

Anyone know if this is reallistic?

A friend of ours is a tatoo artist in his spare time. He is artistic and customises every-thing with his own designs. He customised the rear wheel cover of our 4x4 with his designs. He uses tatoo inks cos they dont crack in weather conditions. Dont know if this will work for your board or not.

Between December and April go skiing in on of the many ski areas. There are too many south of Munich to give detailed descriptions here. If you want to spent 39 Euro for a day ticket the “Zugspitze” ski area is definitely worth a visit skiing and snowboarding on the glaciers below the nearly 3000m peak of Gernaby’s highest mountain. The gondola up to the summit starts close to the town of Garmisch Partenkirchen (take highway 95 from Munich to Garmisch) and in Garmisch follow the signs towards the “Zugspitzbahn” and “Gondel”. After skiing you can enjoy the public swimming hall of Garmisch, which is well marked. This swimming place features normal pools, some hot pools and sauna. The best way to relax after a day of skiing.

Karen again: it means nothing to me but thought it might be worth a look or you might have heard of it.

Tony-H not sure if you are sorted yet but Garmisch and mittenwald is definately worth a look. We did it a couple of years ago while at Seefeld. Cost us 7 euros each on the train, stopped at Mittenwald did a few slopes and then went on to Garmisch. High altitude and ski pass was for both resorts.
Magic Moments

I have only been ski-ing for the last five years and can not clock up as many hols per year as most people on here, due to both of ours work commitments.
I can honestly say that every single day of all of those holidays has been absolutely magic.
From seeing the snow storms, waking up and finding a foot of new snow, the strange outfits some people wear, learning to ski and board, being able to master the lifts, just the thrill of every single slope I have ever done, just gazing at the mountains, the wonderful dinner in the restaurant.
Every single day, of every single holiday has been absolutely magic.
A Friendly Challenge.

Ooh I thinks I will have to pass on this challenge for fear of frightening my OH and bank manager. Apart from the holiday, clothes, boots, lift passes, drinks etc etc I would have to own up to........
The three new jackets I bought and only took one of them.
The five new pairs of boots that I only took two pairs away.
The new underwear that ladies always seem to want for their hols,
The expensive cuckoo clock,in Austria that I just had to have,
The new sunglasses, cos mine broke in my suitcase,
The jewellery Oh bought me ,cos it was my birthday,
The jewellery I bought myself, cos it was my birthday,
The scented candles that I could not resist,
The xmas decs that would look lovely which I tucked away and can not remember where.
The expensive camera that we just had to have to do our photo's justice,
The wacky hats that we thought made us so cool,
and so on and so on.
I must not add this up it will frighten me,
But I win hands down on the sunscreen and lip balm. I get mine FREE at the end of the season. So I do try to economise sometimes. (Smiley face ,cos my smilies dont work)

surreal: my eldest starts at senior school on tuesday. He's now got a laptop, mobile phone and front door key. It's pretty scarey!

Dont worry Caron, I still dont have smilies. Your right its dead scary as your kids grow up. Mine has just announced he has a new job and will be moving to Dubai.
Thermals

Tony_H wrote:For someone who likes to buy branded clothing, I actually use Primarks thermals vests and longjohns. They are £2.50 each, and I have got so used to wearing them under sallopettes, that I almost feel naked without them. I have never had an issue with them, although I always wear CK boxers under the longjohns as well.
I have to be honest and say that in recent years, I have often felt too warm with thermals, and quite often now dont wear any at all, but would definitely do so in Norway, Canada, etc.

I never thought of primark I will have a wonder over in my lunchour to-morrow. I have just bought him some really lary Burton ones on ebay, they do look more comfortable than previous ones. He says they look like PJ,s.
Thermals

This is rather an impertinent question aimed at the guys on this forum.
No matter what thermals I buy my OH, he ends up getting sore around his nether regions. We have tried all sorts, but the same results. So much so he wont wear them any-more.
I must admit the last few years in Austria we have not really felt the cold, so wondered if he was just getting too hot/sweaty. But next year going to Finland where we will be on the slopes a lot later, and it will be colder.
What do you guys wear, and do you use powder, or wear certain underwear under thermals? Any tips would be greatfully received.
