At least with older versions you got a basic manual that "prepared" you to that version 1! Now when version 3.8 gets slower, less dynamic, etc,,,,how do you find solutions! Those newer versions are complicated!

Respectfully,
version oo1

No definately my upgrated model meets all expectations, but then it is a mucher younger version than the 1.0 and the 2.0 model.

GeordieSki wrote:Hi Pavel,

I have yet to upgrade to Husband 1.0, its a much more complex version than I am capable of dealing with. I find regular updates of Boyfriend 5.0 are much more able to cope with SkiChat3.0 and Girly Holidays 7.0, however, I do find that without regular updates, Boyfriend 5.0 can be prone to the same problems as Husband 1.0, a lot or friends have the same problems too!!!

I'm afraid I couldn't find reference to the various Ski packages that are incompatable with Husband 1.0 or Boyfriend 5.0, your research was obviously better carried out!!! Perhaps AJ, caron-a , bandit or RoseR may have come across more of these problems???!!

Well I am on Husband no 3.0, have always been waiting for the upgraded version, all ski packages compatible to this version but not the 1.0, or the 2.0 version, thats why they had to go, to make way for the updated version.

Weekly pass prices vary immensely - where's that for? If it's Verbier you should buy it now... but if it's for Antagnod... maybe not... 8)

Its for Ruka/Finland

Seems a fairly good price, but then Ruka's area is pretty small. Does it include buses??

Yes that includes buses until 3am, and all children under 7 who wear helmets have free lift passes.

I do not normally buy weekly lift passes because we go from day to day, at different resorts, either boarding/skiing/cross country ski depending how we feel. So I have never known the cost. I have found out that I can book on-line for our passes with a 5% discount. They are quoting 130 euros per week, is this about normal?

caron-a wrote:it must be the same as lessons, ski hire and ski passes. The package company adds soooo much on top. I've booked directly ever since since my first ski holiday and have saved quite a lot of money (relatively!).

When we were booking next years trip to Ruka, hubby and I sat side by side with a laptop each and filled out booking forms to get prices from two popular travel agencies.
We both booked the same flight, same times, same accomodation, same every-thing, then went on to book thermal suits and boots, and four excursions. The excursions were exactly the same and carried out by the same safari company.....wow this was where the prices really differed. Taking into account the various internet and early booking discounts, there was a £500 difference in the total cost. Thats a huge difference
