wow! you obviously all really love this place. what is it about it that's so wonderful?
I practice my turns in my head all the time (when not skiing) and sometimes see myself as if I'm standing down the mountain. is that weird? :?

That would've been me when I was a child. Unfortunately I didn't start skiing until I was 36, long flown from the nest and determined to get my boys skiing as early as possible.

I've got lots of time to make up for!

There's no turning back for me then. With the exception of points 7 and 8 (I'm not at that stage [yet!]) I tick every box. Actually I've only got 4 ski magazines on the coffee table but can add another couple of points that might swing it for me:-

1. I have a "skiing" folder in my favourites which has 37 links in it. It would have been more like 50 up until yesterday but I deleted some Tignes-specific ones (where I've just returned from).

2. My husband either tuts, rolls his eyes or verbally tells me to give it a rest at least once a day.

3. I'm thinking I could justify some southern hemisphere skiing in place of a beach holiday if I make it my 40th birthday present in a couple of years.

Is it official? :?:

I always practice my turns in my head when I've got a spare minute to myself.

Like Adele I'm not an A or B. I think I have the mentality of an A but will never be one

Hello everyone

Back from tignes. what a place! there's no feeling like standing in a bowl and seeing mountains in every direction. beautiful!

had a fantastic holiday with all my mates, lots going on. managed to achieve my ambition of seeing my boys coming down trolles, in fact, managed to time it perfectly so I was in the aeroski above them for the top half of it then got to the bottom in time to see them come down into the village - parallelling too :D. My 7 year old tucked about a third of the way down the run in and I actually screamed out loud

so now I'm going to get the operation sorted and look forward to actually skiing on my skiing holidays next year....
