Shame you will not be going Tony, it's a beautiful part of the world :) The prices on Ryanair have become a joke, there is a direct flight from Baden-karlsruhe to Girona which I used to use, but it has become prohibitively expensive now unless you fly mid-week to mid-week, which I can't normally.

How was it down there? I was there the weekend before and still about 70km open. Looks like you had good weather for it too.

My folks live in Rosas, on the hill overlooking the new harbour! My old man has his boat at Emporiabrava (wher i did my first freefall parachute). my sister and significant other live there also, they are both scuba diving instructors.

The coastline around that area is stunning, especially up towards the French border. What time of year do you get over to Calelle de Palafrugell?

hehe, I love being on the water. My old man lives down on the Costa Brava and has a 29ft twin deisel engined modern fishing boat with a semi-displacement hull. Will do about 30 knots on a flat sea, so is more than adequate for water skiing or wake-boarding.

He has been moaning that I have not been to vist for over 2 years, so I sent him an email sying as soon as he gets the boat rigged so I can try one of these I will be down like a flash :)

Really unsure what it will be like at that time Tony. At the moment the have between 60-80km of piste open, but I think they normally reduce that to about 20km around this time of year.
