funny moment in alpe d'huez last year, there was a rather large jump set up with balloons, flags, a comentator, right next to the bar. 26 of us sat and watched our mate give it a go, crash and burn. I got it on video too.

this year in tignes we were amused by a boarder who ran past us and had to keep pulling up his (already very low) trousers. it tickled me pink :lol:

Be warned that your first day will wear you out, it involves a lot of side stepping up the slope so make sure you get your legs and heart fit!

as for balance and movement, I'd highly recommend ashtanga yoga. although for the core muscles apparently pilates is the one, I've yet to try it myself but might give it a go for next season as well as inline skating and cycling.

wednesday, 11th october 2006, wind 56 knots, gale force 11 - me with my boys (9 and 5 at the time) in life jackets on a portside birth, starboard portholes submerged, husband and father in law trying to pull the sails in, jenny(?) in shreds. one boat in our flotilla couldn't turn and was heading out into the med, they were rescued and didn't get back on the boat. another one crashed into rocks and had to change boats, they were back with us the next day.

lots of stories were told in sarsarla that night. one man, who was sitting comfortably with his g and t, described it as sounding like a train coming through the trees. it was very quick and very freaky!

apart from modern talking, the only song on that list that I didn't have is the lotus eaters. just heard it, remembered it and downloaded it. every other song is already on my ipod!
