Totally unitentional, but I was standing about 10 feet above the board when I took the first photo, and I was lying on my back when I took the second. I is actually quite steep for a red in my experience, but very wide and quite short at that point.



And it looks fabulous. I take it you were therevery early morning?

In all the years I have been visiting Mayrhofen I have never ventured to Hintertux. That photo has persuaded me to make the effort one day this coming December, provided I pick a good weather day. Will skip beakfast and have a couple of hours blasting around before I eat, to make the most of it!!


Yeah, they say it opens at 8.15 but if you get there 30 mins early they let you up with the staff. In early May it does not stay quiet for long. A lot of Eastern Europeans taking late ski breaks.

It is beautiful with the green valley however :-) I will definately be going again for a weekend before season proper.
