I don't skydive anymore as watching a tandem hit the deck seriously sobers you up, even more so given the fact the instructor was a family friend that you enjoyed dinner with a few days before. I tried getting back on the horse but within a few jumps i had my first cut away following a line over and i thought to myself that there was just too much risk. I do take your point on modern kit though. The thing with skiing is the risk can be managed in many ways, mainly being able to control your speed and slope difficulty. With skydiving, once you jump, your life is in the hands of your kit, you have very little say in it beyond lateral direction. |

Until you whack your head on exit, collide during RW or wrap yourself around a tree following a really bad spot - A helmet would be really useful there. I agree that skydiving carries 'less' risk than Skiing but having had friends 'go in' i can tell you that the risk is very real and one that put an end to my jumping. |

Hi all,
Because my daughter grows so much each year we have a bundle of ski wear that is just too small for her now. So i have put it all together and offering it for sale as a job lot. No item has more than two weeks skiing on it and it comes from a clean, non smoking family. There are a few signs of wear as you would expect but there are no rips and it is all in very good condition. We are not a scruffy family and look after our gear! This is ideal for a family with a girl of 10-12 years, most items are either aged 10/11 or 11/12. Heres a list of whats there. 1x Ski jacket, Pink/Grey by Tog24 1x White Ski Pants by Tog24 1x Ski Purple Ski Pants by Roxy 1x Pink Ski Helmet by Giro 1x Ski Goggles (unused) by Giro 1x Black base Layer set by Trespass 1x Pale blue base Layer set by Trespass 3x Pair of ski socks 2x Hats (one bobble and one beanie) 1x Pink Neck warmer with fleece (buff) 2x Micro Fleece (one aqua and one purple) I would like to sell this as a whole bundle, there is about £160 worth (new) and would like to as £65, buyer pays postage or collects from Nottingham. Thanks for looking. ![]() |

210 Miles is a bugger before you even start your hop. |

Pah! Ski fit..... I've been trying to get 'ski fit' for years and never really got there. Fit or not you can still have a ball and ski till you drop. As for the pain, a few sherbets at lunch time will sort that along with a handful of Nurofen. Go and have fun. |

Just to add that although most operators have indeed dropped their roaming charges O2 are rubbish. They charge £2 a day for 15mb.
15mb on an iPhone is pathetic, i get through that in about 10 mins. I dumped O2 for this reason and now use Three where they charge £5 a day for unlimited data for Europe. But best of all in some countries they do not charge you at all, its the same as if you were at home. Those countries included Austria and Italy. |
