It was interesting and I am glad I went (I had been meaning to go for a few years but never made it).
I would have liked more products, the range of new ski wear was somewhat limited (mainly one big retailer) and there was a lot of emphasis on Boarders. The stands for the different holiday companies and chalets/resorts were very interesting and I grabbed loads of brochures and piste maps for research for the J2Ski holiday for 2014. I will share this info with those going to Tignes in January 2013, so we can hopefully offer an exciting trip for those who wish to participate in the following season. I agree, the food was expensive but it always is in these places. I was glad to find raclette on sale though, my favourite and it really got me in the mood for the forthcoming season. There were other delights on offer too, like Croque Monsieur and Tartiflette. Would I go again? Probably. |

It's true, they have a fanfare go out over the tannoy when they land on Potato Airways. Then everyone claps. I think it's more to announce that they managed to land it safely rather than being on time!!

You know Old Andy, I think AllyG may be a little less than impressed with that effort. On your head be it

Standing at the top of the first slope, I always pick something really easy but on first look it seems incredibly steep. Push off and then worry about whether I will remember how to make the turn. Mighty relief when I get to the bottom and realise, yes, I can!
My next problem is that some days I ski like a demon and the next I seem to have a proper senile moment and can't put a ski right! Why is that? |

My OH took some friends to the airport who were going to Cyprus. He happened to have his passport with him, so he booked a flight there and then and got on the plane with them!
Another time he spoke to some friends on a Wednesday who were living in Australia but had decided it wasn't for them and so were planning to come home a few weeks later. He was on a flight out there by Friday, didn't want to miss out on a holiday so thought he had better get in quick. I usually know where he is these days tho... |

I am seriously considering Livigno next year, or even this year if we can squeeze in a cheeky extra week!
