Helmet advice
Started by User in Ski Hardware, 42 Replies
You should be able to feel it. Not long ago I purchased a Bern helmet.

It should be snug and should not slide around your head when you tilt it from side to side or up and down.

The straps should lie against your jaw line when fastened with no gaps.
If the straps are not touching your jaw at the side then the helmet is too big.
Bought my revels from exclaim in the UK but wouldn't use them again as they never picked up the phone or answered emails.
Got my release bindings from spruce in the US - imported

If I was to get anothe pair I'd defo give Greco a shout on Skiboardsonline (see my sig).
Really helpfull guy.

It was 30 for 2 hours lesson. Well worth the money.

Really can't believe how much I learned. Wonder what they get you to do at the intermediate lesson (won't be signing up to that any time soon)
Update:

Went to the coaching last night and really enjoyed it. It was only me and other guy so I felt like I learned lots in 2 hours.

The instructor, Martin, was excellent in explaining and demostrating technique and was happy to chat and answer my questions.

Started off by riding switch as a warm up followed by some flat land tricks like 180 spins and then nose and tail presses.

Found the presses a little difficult due to the stiff boards but I'll keep at it.

Next was going over a small kicker on the practice slope followed by the bigger kicker on the main slope.

After a few runs through the air, including pulling off my first safety grab, we hit the boxes on the practice slope. Slid out a first few times due to my weight being on my back foot but after 5 mins I was managing to land the skis flat with weight my front foot.

Anyway, an awesome experience that will no doubt help me to explore the park more and get a little variety on my next trip

Was seriously considering flying BA to Turin for this year's holiday, however may have to have a rethink - Jet2 to Chambery (which was much cheaper anyway) and car hire perhaps? :D

Heard people make this argument before, saying they are still within their weight limit including the ski bag so should'nt have to pay carrage.

The air line just see the bag. ££££££
I missed the last sno storm. Doesn't say on the site when the next one is.

And is that offer Mon-Fri during the day?

It's not the freestyle night I'm going for, it's the lesson part.
