I don't know about Snapzzz, but I have been for a long WALK along the cliff tops, enjoying the sunshine and the sea breezes (mind you, I did stop for a rum and raisin ice-cream which was a bit naughty!).
I am quite sure the best thing is to stay fit all year but somehow it never quite works out like that with me. I get ill, or have a mass of paperwork to do, or get addicted to J2Ski or something  |

Andy, I think that would be a very good idea. How do you get 8 different levels?

Andy, you've totally lost me there
All I know is that, like Snapzzz, I'm feeling fat and unfit. But I'm going to start by walking. I think running would be totally beyond me at the moment  Fortunately I have several months to get fit before ski-ing :D |

Sorry I haven't got any advice for you (luckily my ACL's are fine), but best of luck Ranchero :D
It all sounds very worrying and painful  |

Well I think they should start chasing and prosecuting the people who are ski-ing dangerously, and endangering the lives of others, but leave the dead and mourning alone because they've been punished enough.
I should imagine there are hundreds of people, if not thousands, who fall into this category, and have just been lucky that their particular escapade didn't end in death or serious injury. I have seen people going under the safety barriers to ski/board dangerous off-piste areas, or pistes that have been closed for safety reasons. And think of that man I saw lost and off-piste on his own with no safety gear whilst the avalanche flag was flying, up the top of one of the highest mountains in Tignes just as all the lifts were about to close and the ski area was shutting down for the night. I hope the ski patrol people found him (I told them where he was) and gave him a good ticking off after they'd brought him back to safety. |

Oh, just seen your post Snapzzz. 'Happy Birthday' to Megan as well :D
I hope she's not too upset about not getting that cute dog, and she likes her electronic gizmo (I've forgotten what it was - i-pad maybe?). |

Yes - Happy Father's Day to all the father's on here (including Admin) :D
My younger daughter gave her dad a card and a bar of chocolate just now, and she's going to make him a cake later today. And I phoned my own dad to say 'Happy Father's Day'! |

There is an ESF ski school based in Tignes Les Brevieres, which is very handy if you want ski/snowboard lessons, as it means you don't have to get up to Le Lac for the start of the lessons.
In their website ESF have also included an aerial photo showing the layout of the village, Isere river, piste, ESF meeting point (by the Sache gondola), and the kindergarten area:

When I was there first thing in the morning, I saw the ESF kids ski school lined up by the Sache gondola. |
