Chill Factore is about 20 mins from Manchester airport.

Before you say it Snapzzz, that is by car not horse & cart ;)

Looks great fun. I have always wanted to do the parks, but think I would look a bit of a goon with all the "hip kidz" :)

WICKERS WARNING.... TURN YOUR SOUND OFF

Hehehe looks fun :D

Are the bases of your skis all scratched now ;)

Seen that part of the vid with you 'dancing' in the car. The end looks odd as your tails did not leave the snow

A whole season in 1:52...

Tony_H wrote:10% of ski holidays is snow - I have to disagree. I reckon 90% of it is snow. If you can't ski, its a waste of time. I remember the powder days, for sure. And I dont do long late lunches that run into apres either.

Goes to show how different people approach a ski holiday. I imagine you view skiing quite differently when you're there for a long period, compared to a 1 week blitz like most of us do.

3 valleys - nice and high, 3 hour transfer but good snow.

Avoriaz - 1.5 hour transfer. Not sure about snow mid April though

I reckon to go somewhere with good snow at that time of year you will not get away with a 'short' transfer

Just my opinion, not based on fact ;)

Ranchero_1979 wrote:Wow I always thought the best ski location was wherever you are at the time. End of day I think Andorra is exactly what it says on the box. Tax free (cheap and cheerful), limited vertical, limited altitude (i.e. not best snow in world) and too far south (i.e. not best snow in world) . Apart from that you should have great weather, great memories, and good friends. 10% of ski holiday is snow. Do you remember the snow on powder days or the face plants that come with it? Slushy snow at end of season or the late long lunch that takes you into après ski?

1. I dont think it is as cheap and cheerful these days as much as it used to be in the 80/90
2. TOTALLY AGREE - the best location is where you are for those 6 days - better than working ;)
3. Face plants, powder, lunch, apres ski. Good times
