I could have written that.

I love them, they are awesome.

Do ou have 2cmera or just mount one on skis a the lift?

Also, I need to learn how to do the speed up thing in th moviemaker-what do you use?

I don't ski constantly with the camera. All this was filmed in one day and prob about 10 mins at a time. I did the same run about three times. Once with the cam on pole, then later on my boot, then later again with it on my helmet.
I go to ski not film but its fun to do and now i have a nice reminder of my trip.
The camera gets mounted on the lift, as you suggest, most of the time.
And yes it is annoying without your pole, makes your arm ache, you look a bit silly and it takes concentration but i think its worth it.

The edit was done in iMovie on the Mac, I'm not sure how you edit in moviemaker but i am sure google will help you out on that.

And the speed up, well that is no edit.....its a new 8 man super fast lift.

I guess that most holiday makers pick up this technique and think it looks cool the same as uncliping your binding with their ski, and I guess these will be the same people who will be complaining about the poor quality of rental skis

Ian, how do you unclip yours? I hate using my pole as it chews up my bindings but I'm also too unfit to bend down :-)
Perhaps i need to learn the Cuche method.

Thanks in anticipation

I just came back last week and i am in the process of writing a report but its slow going. Where are you looking at staying in foret?

The skiing was awesome, there was no new snow while we were there and the off piste is all tracked and packed but conditions are brilliant. The skiing in the Les Carroz area is stunning in the trees.

Apres is crap but i didn't care as i don't go to get hammered, i like to get up at 7:30 and get out there.

Don't think about it, book it.

Hate skiing!!

14. Badly drawn up piste maps where either the grade/colour of the piste is wrong (in my opinion) or the layout is wrong.

OR you can't work out, from the map, which direction the piste runs! most are obvious, some are not and they should put little arrows on them!

1. Worrying I'm going to get ill or hurt myself so I won't be able to go.

Jeez, i thought that was just my nurotic self. I worry for about 2 weeks prior that some git is going to give me the flu or something. In fact this year i very nearly had the flu jab for this very reason.

I would happily look myself in a clean room for a week or so just like astronauts do.
