I tend to agree with Innsbrucker's reply to your question about Nebulus gear. Spend less on your jacket to spend more on your gloves. While most of us are 'over-specced' in the jacket department, none of us can afford to be 'under-specced' with our gloves. Been looking at Reusch gloves myself just this afternoon; was almost tempted at £50 -) . I think I'll wait till the end of the season and see if I can get a pair of Hestras 'for a song'. :-)

If you need yours before the end of season and you're a bit strapped, these might be worth a punt. White Rock gear seems to get good reviews from people who have bought it.

Like the look of these too. Might pay Decathlon a visit myself. :-)

Looks like a good deal for someone. Bit short for me: I'm looking at 185cm. :-)

AdH: top drawer (from experience).

L2A: never been, but peeps who have seem to love it or hate it.

I quite fancy L2A for some top-notch off-piste instruction (Easiski). Otherwise,I think I would be more inclined to go back to AdH. L2A may be a better bet at the end of the season. Tends to hold on to its snow better as it doesn't have as many south facing runs.

I wonder how Stan's gags about the 'Je-ee-ehr-mans' would go down with the, erm... Germans? -) Would they find him as 'hilarious'?
Dolomites! Google maps showing Innsbruck- Brunico or Innsbruck- San Vigilo di Marebbe <1hr 30mins. Either would be a good base for Kronplatz/Plan de Corones. Alternatively, if you don't want to be bussed or drive to the pistes, Google maps shows Selva only another 10-15 minutes further.

In the past, I have driven to the Dolomites from Treviso (3 hours at a leisurely pace) because of the 'dirt cheap' flights to there from East Mids Airport. Note to self: must get busy finding cheap flights to Innsbruck :) .
