Was just creating a list for people to refer to if they had questions of what to take.. will add anything in to the first post, or change it if you have a better idea with the view to having mr admin making it sticky :!:

Tony, d you fancy putting the additions you mentioned into a list form so I can stick them in the first post without having to pick them all out

Just attempting to make some sort of guide to direct people to if they ask about clothing etc...
Current favourite: Powderfinger-On My Mind.

Saying that I never ski with music on so my contribution to this thread is nearly pointless.

On the slopes

Hat/Helmet

Goggles/Sunglasses

Buff/Necky type thing

Gloves! 2 layered gloves with a warm breathable inner and a water/wind proof outer.

Underwear/Base layer-Such as Icebreakers/Silk thermals/ (Cheaper alternatives?)

Mid layer-Light fleeces/jumpers. Can be discarded if conditions allow.

Outer-Waterproof jacket is essential, breathability is an option that tends to vary with price. Same goes for salopettes

Socks-good quality/thin/well fitting skis socks (1 pair to be worn under ski boots). Tube socks are not a good idea.

high factor sun cream (don't forget under the tip of your nose!)

Lip balm or Vaseline

Off the slopes

Compeed blister plasters (especially if your rental boots don't fit quite right)

Norwegian Formula hand cream (mountain air will dry your skin)

EHIC Card and proof of insurance

*Throw ideas in and I will update it as the thread goes on. Probably good if you fix my spelling etc...
