I was out on the balcony/terrace doing the edges on my board so as not to get filings on the floor, and subsequently in my feet, man its chilly, woke up to a dusting of the white stuff today :D
And so it snows

Seriously though, I did this once in Flizmoos where the begginners slope is right opposite the main apres ski bar (Happy Alm...I think), so when they turn on the lights at 8pm and you have been drinking heavily and dancing around to all manner of nonsense in all your gear, some crazy Duth guy suggests a snowboard race, you have to ask what the insurance company would say :?:

Anyhow, after falling off the t-bar twice and being offered a flask of Navy Rum at the top, I won the race :D The fact that I did the grand total of zero turns top to bottom probabaly helped
I get them intermittently and unpredictably, like hangovers.
Three weeks and now......

I will probably be on my last run of the day, anticipating the apres ski at the bottom of the Hintertux

I love Sunday's, today I have read my book, watched 4 episodes of Dr. House, waxed and edged my second board, made a roast dinner, listened to apres ski music to loud for a residential area and its not even 5pm!!
And so it snows

Ineteresting problem, I normally choose my destination by picking somewhere relatively near a train station as I dont drive. Mayrhofen is a good example, but there are loads of places especially Austria. However I have done La Plagne by train before. I actually had the problem last December and found the cheapest way to do a trip to Val d'Isere was to book a package holiday from the UK (I live in Germany) and get cheap flights from here to London, before flying to France, took the chance to see some family and friends!!!

Very pleased this thread was started. Just got a fantastic offer from BA teling me if I book an award flight (air miles) of which i have 1/4 million , I can fly for half the required number. So Germany to Canada and back is 25,000 miles  I can fly First Class for 75,000. So thats what I intend to do. As always availability is the problem. Wanted to fly to Vancouver and ride Whistler, but dates look dicey. So I started looking elsewhere, and looked at Nakiska, twoshortplanks mentioned it. Has anyone got experience? Will it keep me entertained for 5 or 6 days? I guess I am advanced beginner/intermediate level.
