First Ski trip... Help!!!!
Started by User in Beginning Skiing, 11 Replies
Personally, for your first trip, I'd bite the bullet and book a package - make life as easy as possible so you can concentrate on your skiing. If you get anything wrong or forget anything it could make or break your trip.

Once you're hooked (!) you'll be more confident about booking it all yourself.

Enjoy

It's a real page turner, struggled to put it down last night.

I recognise the name Harry Bosch so I've just looked through my book shelf and my husband's got the HB Mysteries so that's next on my list! Thanks for that :D

Ideally: Like Rose, I usually take biographies on holiday as they are easy to put down and pick up again.

John Peel's is the best I've read.

I'm in the middle of Tell No One by Harlan Coben, given to me on my birthday. Pretty easy reading thriller, I'm enjoying it.

As for recommendations - my favourites are Pillars of the Earth and it's follow up World Without End by Ken Follett. they follow the story of builders, farmers, monks, priests, nuns, dukes, kings etc in the 1100 to 1300s. Over 1000 pages apiece but great stories and bloomin interesting. not a ski in sight, we really don't know how lucky we are!

I'm getting back to my book now...

What colours are in this season?

A great little shop on willow farm in St Albans. Loads of stuff all crammed together and then some e+o and spyder stuff all spaced out nicely for those so inclined...
