Theoretically the can overcome the melt rate by persistantly pumping water whilst there is no natural precipitation and it's below freezing, therefore slowing the rate of decline or overcoming it. Increasing pumping capacity further increases the effect.

Now this seems like a more sensible idea for the missing section at Trockner Steg in Zermatt.

Trains are good, most British people don't get this cos they are crap in the UK with the exception of those leaving the UK.

I'm with Bandit on this one, I enjoy most conditions above and below me, heck I even snowboard in mud and rain.
Only thing I don't like is ultra flat light. Lose all sense of perspective. That's where the mountain huts come in handy. |
