sounds as though you are doing the right things ....the only advice I could give as I don't feel that I am qualified ,,, is to get fitter before you you go .being fit helps you assimilate any technical improvements you make. Have a great time :D

I think an analogy would be changing gear in a car...when you first start out driving you have to consciously think about it but as you get more used to it you don't. With skiing I feel that if you strive to improve you think about what you are trying to do.... :?:

a rather selfish view......thats going to take about 95% of people off the slopes and most of the rest should be thinking about it .....that leaves you as a lonely skier :-o

I don't think that I can hear everything that is going on but but it does help.
I feel that skiing is a sport in which anyone who does not ski at the highest level needs their wits about them... we were born with 5 senses and to block one off whilst trying to slide down a mountain cannot be good for safety especially if some guy is shouting for you to move!

a minor rant ....why does everyone have to have some sound blasting in their ears ..I am with Bandit ...the music of skis on snow and being able to hear some nutter coming down the middle of the piste out of control...and ise the pics are great
