Folgaria late march, early april
Started by User in Italy, 18 Replies
Little Snapzzz has the opportunity to ski Folgaria next year with school from 31st April.
Now i know nothing about this resort but at a max of 1700m I'm pretty sure this is a rubbish choice for that time of year.

IS there anything special about Folgaria that will hold its snow?
ski lessons

I think you could still benefit from private lessons even though you are both at different levels. If you have the instructor focus on technique then you can both learn things that will help with your skiing on what ever run you happen to be on.

I hire skis, boots and poles for her only as she has her own helmet, which has been a good investment as it has lasted her a number of year

BUT the problem is now that thanks to Tony and yourself she simply sticks her hat on, grins and chirps 'save the bobble'

I have noticed from some of the photos that she prefers Bobble to Helmet ........Little W has always worn a helmet and knows no different now, which equates to no hassel as she understands the rules.

"No Helmet .... No Ski"

Another issue we have is the Meg wears glasses and has some Bolle OTG goggles. They are great with her bobble but steam up with her helmet and it puts her off wearing it. I need to find a nice helmet with compatible OTG goggles

One forum even had a note on the forum saying 'No banter'. Boooo!

How about J2camp

Yay! Alternatively I can just stay on here and start a thread about camping. If I'm allowed.

Go go camping a couple of times a year, mainly in Devon or Cornwall. We haven't booked for this year yet so i need to get on it.

Please do not take it as if i was criticising your choice, i wasn't. Everywhere is going to be really busy so VDI will be as good as anywhere, as you pointed out.
My wifes biggest fear is crowded pistes so i am hoping to find somewhere quite for NY and then do a super resort in feb. My only hang up is paying top dollar for a resort like valmorel.
