or they are according to the Telegraph :
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/travel/travelnews/3128841/Skiing-holiday-costs-to-soar.html I know our local lift company are saying that electricity prices have gone up 71% in two years and this year there will be an increase in day pass prices from Fr. 46.- to Fr. 47 to cover some of this cost. I don't think our domestic tariff rose by that but we don't use a lot of electricity in the chalet so I'm not 100% sure. |

I've had to go to the West Coast of the US a lot over the years on business and it's pretty manageable while you're there. I try to arrive early evening and then stay up until midnight at least, getting up slightly later the next morning, around 0900 or so, have a good breakfast and then I find I'm fine. The second night I try to go to bed at around 2300 or so and avoid the temptation to sleep earlier and my body clock is adjusted. Returning is always a pain and I've not found a good routine to break that down. |

I can't say much caught my eye there at all really. I thought the ski tests were a bit less than systematic as well, just a few high street brands. |

whereabouts in the Gd Massif? Flaine will be fine, elsewhere the lower runs will be getting a little thin but the area is snow sure, here's some photo's from late April 2005 : http://snowslider.net/2005/04/17/morillon-17th-april-2005/ |

too long ago to recall, I'd probably have just called it variable conditions. It's a bit odd just there, it doesn't get much sun and there's blasts of cold air off the glacier so it's tending to harder pack than elsewhere in the area, there's a handful of good off piste routes cutting down through that area actually. |
