And to back up its that time of year, from the Suisse weather service.Outlook Alps

On Wednesday and Thursday unstable and frequently wet. In the north snow line sinking slowly to 500/700 meters. Huge amounts of fresh snow on the mountains. Friday and Saturay are changeable with precipitation above all in the south and slowly rising temperature and snowline.

I think that's right, I was up on Kaiseregg today doing the Schwarzsee-Boltigen high level crossing, I was there alone all day and I reckon I'll be the last person to make the route now this season. I don't think it gets much traffic winter time for various reasons so it'll be May now before anyone's there again.

It's raining here at 600m now and I think that's snow higher up.
Skiing and yoga what do you think?

the two physio's that treated me for my arm and back injuries were quite pretty, young, pretty, athletically fit and very bright, just a killer combination really  part of the treatment was ESWT (look it up, it's exactly as painful as it sounds) and when they used to ask if the intensity was right I'd always try and look hardcore and tell them to turn it up, I can't imagine they were impressed )
So who is off next

I may go actually :D Only for the weekend if the snow looks good and Zinal doesn't open which I don't think it will personally. I can't think it'll be busy and I'll call the TO for a bed on the Friday and hop on the train.

aw shucks

funnily enough I took some others at Moléson a couple of years back that won some competition they had and I think they might be used for postcards/calendars/brochures. I got placed 3rd, 14th and 15th so I assume they're were only 2 entrants. :D

and a couple others : http://snowslider.net/gallery/index.php?level=album&id=2

It's a nice little place, the top's only 2000m or so but it's a great resource on the doorstep, we were there on Sunday for a quick walk up from the base to the mid station with a glass of wine at the local section of the Swiss Alpine Club hut on the way and a croute at the next chalet, hard stuff :D

classic ski show buy )

we've got some that some company sent us as promo's or for test, I don't recall. I used it a couple of times when I'd hurt my neck/back and Mrs Ise uses one all the time although her skis are generally heavier than mine.

OTOH, lighter skis should make a comeback ) although I doubt they will anytime soon.

Thanks for that, let me know when your back, I leave on 10th.

I am kind of used to the french style of buildings, but anywhere seems great after a huge dump. :)

:D no pun intended :D

You've got to admire the germ of the idea though, avoiding that utterly fake euro-alpin style that's so common across Austra isn't such a bad idea but they seemed to have plumped for something Kim Jong Il would have loved and just kept doing it.

Why is is that 80% of all known spam comes from this particular place?

It it really that bad?

There's a sad and tedious desperation amongst those who bought small cupboards near ski stations that they couldn't afford and then feel the rest of of us are obliged to read desperate advertisements for them as they try to make the mortgage payments ) It doesn't seem to take any of them long to forget any reservations they might have had and go off searching for forums they can drop some drive-by spam into.

Anyone with more financial savvy might well find they can pick a bargain up in the next year or so though as some chickens come home to roost :)
