Totally disagree ,,I have had no trouble sorting out accommodation privately all over the continent...its only us Brits that don't do it and rely on tour operators
do I win as i am the first to spot that there are no questions to answer :D

I can recommend Obertuern as snow sure and ski in and out but don't know about the apres as am usually too knackered being an old git!

It definitely is cheaper to book yourself if you want that rare commodity in the tour operators brochure, a single room!

I agree with Trencher some varied weight training as well but you are lucky I live in Sheffield which,like Rome,is built on 7 hills .....I've left the bike in the garage as you can't start gently...maybe this summer,,,,

I also flew to Grenoble and ,though short of legroom (6'3") it was only a short flight ...the food wasn't bad and neither was the service ,,,,,don't think I could have gone much further though
