Yes Ian I can smell something too when looking at the scans,I thought it was coming from my graphics card being overloaded.

Ally you should have had your wellies fitted while you were there, as you're only in ski boots for 6 days & in your smellie wellies 359 days of the year.
Taking Skis on Eurostar and TGV???

I've seen plenty of people taking their skis and snowboards on the Eurostar and the TGV - there doesn't seem to be a problem with it at all :D

And, they put those 'compost' machines in different places - sometimes they're in the middle of the station concourse, sometimes by the door onto the platform, and sometimes actually on the platform. As I said before, I think they're yellow and they look a bit like parking meters.

All these years I have been putting compost on the garden instead of the station,no wonder im getting a poor crop year on year . :)

AllyG wrote:Hi Everyone,
I'm back (with new ski boots) :D :D :D

I will write a full report tomorrow, but I'm too tired tonight - just got off the London train an hour ago.

It took me 3 hours to get the boots - it seems there IS something wrong with my legs and feet - and I got mens boots - I think the technician was a bit confused by the knobbly knees and hairy legs

And I have been ski-ing for 2 hours this morning at Milton Keynes in the Ladies class (no inspection of knobbliness or hairiness so I got in okay). It was very difficult - like trying to ski with a couple of plums under my feet and my leg turned the wrong way
But at least I didn't fall over - just had to snow-plough down the first run and wondered for a bit if I could ski at all like that.

Tony, I'm sure I wrote somewhere at the beginning of this thread that Profeet do a life-time guarantee on the comfort fit of the boots, so I can take them back any time to get them re-fitted :D

Ally

I knew this would happen.
Profeet are the Milton Keys branch of the order of the Buffaloes, you will now have to ski on all fours or pay a forfeit

bandit wrote:Brooksy, there is a song by the Eagles..Hotel California, just sing along now :D Of course I feel sure that Admin will accept lots of money instead, but that would be much less fun :D

Anyway, what do you have worth hiding?

Bandit I know the song well & believe I stayed in that hotel in Engelburg although the name been changed to protect the guilty. :-)

I have sent admin a cheque to prevent you from having more fun on this forum. )

That would be telling.

Quite right Bandit good call from you on the Stockli`s 3 of us used the Rotar76 the other 4 went to Intersport ( no class ).Only one gripe its a pity its not where Intersport is,the others didn't use the lockers,so they always had to wait for me to boot up & get back which peed them off, always in a hurry

Ally where are you :?:
I am more than a little concerned as to your whereabouts ,after reading your post concerning rolling up your trousers & showing your knobbly knees & hairy legs you may have booked in to an initiation meeting at a masonic lodge instead of a boot fitting.
Please get in contact with us :)

brooksy, it's a typical J2ski membership ritual...had you not heard about it

No & you shall have my resignation shortly or at least before this ritual is due for me
