I am more than a little concerned as to your whereabouts ,after reading your post concerning rolling up your trousers & showing your knobbly knees & hairy legs you may have booked in to an initiation meeting at a masonic lodge instead of a boot fitting. :shock:

I too have damaged my knee skiing in Engleberg 3 weeks ago,still waiting for the scan but knee is improving with the rice treatment.16 trips over a 14 year period usually having minor falls regularly,this year only fall once & bang damage done.
Having said that I hired skis that Bandit recommend & sure enough much superior to my 10 year old Fischer carvers, skied better than ever, no aching legs, more speed better posture total confidence in the skis themselves,but eventually at a price.
Wont put me off though,just have to be more careful from now on,I can now understand first hand the posts on here relating to ACL,MCL ect injuries maybe thats a bonus. :-)

Did it the other way round in 2001,flew to Calgary transfer to Fernie took about 5 hours due to the driver going in the wrong direction for 1 hour after leaving the airport.Stayed 1 week in Fernie then went to big Mountain for second week.I think it took around 3 hours transfer from one to the other including time spent at border control.

Its for bashing the narrow areas of the piste )

Ally did you have a problem with the language barrier? :)
