Hopefully some good footage of Val d'isere and hopefully a glimpse of yours truly.

To be honest I wouldn't normally tune into a programme such as this.....

Can you post it back for a refund?
Bristles for me, unless it's sunny and then I get fed up trying to apply sunscreen and reluctantly get the shaver out.
don't forget the tv event of the year tonight on channel 4!!
We have some snow socks but haven't had to use them yet. I'm fairly sure that they will fall apart quite quickly if driven on tarmac at any kind of speed.

And when you finished with the professional help, you could maybe have some more skiing lessons.... )

Do they look like this?

If yes, just slice 'em up and eat with french bread.

We were treated to saucisson/hummus/bread nibbles each day in the Blue Note Bar in Val d'Isere. Very nice after a hard day on the slopes (of course washed down by a couple glasses of beer)
Hemsedal, Norway - photos

I thought it might be useful to upload some photos of Hemsedal as info is a little sparse and someone out there might be thinking of a trip.

We visited the resort in April 2010 (1st ever ski trip) and then again for Christmas 2010. We're planning a 3rd trip this coming April. It is a great beginner resort with decent groomed slopes, no nasty surprises or random piste classifications (i'm looking at you Val d'Isere!), lots of ski in-ski out, excellent equipment hire and generally very quiet (certainly when compared to the Alps).

Now that we have been to the Alps and skied Espace Killy and Paradiski, we can see the limitations of a resort like Hemsedal. It's not large and it would be a little tame for good intermediates/advanced skiers. We'll probably concentrate on the Alps from next season, particularly as we are seeking greater piste mileage and variety.

The snow in April 2010 was excellent and the whole resort held up well. We struggled a bit in December 2010 as the snowfall was poor at the beginning of the season. It was very cold though.

Apres ski is quite limited but the food in the restaurants is good (although fairly expensive).
